Bio
Katie currently serves as the Director for Career Development & Student Employment at Loyola University New Orleans. She previously served as Assistant Director for Internships and was the primary career coach for students within the university’s College of Music and Media. She has a decade of higher education experience including admissions counseling, college recruiting, and classroom instruction. In 2016, Katie joined Loyola University New Orleans’ Department of Film and Music Industry Studies where she assisted the Department Chair, and in 2017 she moved over to the Career Development Center to continue supporting young artists.
Katie holds two bachelor degrees: a Bachelor of Psychology from the University of West Florida and a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of South Alabama. Additionally, she earned her Master of Arts Administration degree from the University of New Orleans. After completing her master's degree, Katie worked at the nationally-ranked National World War II Museum in New Orleans, where she contributed to the capital expansion of the museum.
Katie is a Certified Career Services Provider from the National Career Development Association and holds certifications in the Myers Briggs Type Indicator and Inside Track Success Coaching. She currently serves as Chair for the Southern Association of Colleges and Employers (SoACE) Career Advising & Counseling Knowledge Group.
