Bio

Erin (She/Her) joined the Career Development Team as a Career Coach in the fall of 2023. Her educational and professional journey has spanned eight different industries across multiple continents. With the itch to experience and explore the world, she moved to NYC after graduating from Mississippi State in 2005. There she worked in fashion and marketing but spent most of her years working in hospitality. It was through working in the hospitality industry that she discovered her love for connecting with people from all walks of life. This inspired her pursuit of a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, NY.

In graduate school, she interned at a private practice in NYC. There she worked with young adults around topics of depression, anxiety, and addictions to name a few. This work laid the foundation for her collaborative work process and a drive for a people-focused career. During this time, family brought her back to Mississippi where she met her partner. From there, his company moved them to Wellington, New Zealand. There she spent time working as an Agile Coach for a software company. They were lucky enough to travel all of New Zealand in their two and half years and loved every second of it!

Upon moving back to the US, there was only one place she and her partner could imagine living - New Orleans! They moved here in January 2023 and are ecstatic to start building their life and community here. When not guiding students through their professional journeys, you can find her trying every restaurant New Orleans has to offer.
